Spring is here !!
Get outside and enjoy a healthy activity on the many trails of the Boundary.
GFATV would like to ask all trail users to be Responsible while out Hiking, Biking or Riding the seat of your choice, and Respect other trail users The southern slope trails, are beautiful this time of year, the grass is growing, flowers are emerging and wildlife is on the move. GFATV has been cleaning up at Morrissey Staging area as well as Gilpin Staging area, both great places to step onto the trails, we have Information Kiosks and Outhouses at both locations.
This time of year there is potential to have a negative effect on the environment, Staying on the trails, watching out for wildlife, Removing our own trash, (and any we find,) and being a good steward is what we encourage all trail users to practice when enjoying the great outdoors. We are concerned that pallets are being burned in the middle of the parking lots and glass is being broken in the same locations. Flat tires are not fun and cut dog paws are painful, so please clean up after using the many great areas.
Remember:
– Off Highway Vehicles MUST be registered, have plates and carry insurance
– Hold a valid drivers licence
– Wear a helmet and protective clothing
– Clean up after your dogs
There are people who want to close access to our beautiful network of trails, Please keep their reasons to a minimum, Responsible users lessen the conflict. Promoting collaboration by working together we can all better the trails for all users.
Responsible Riding is Respectable Riding
