Sept 14,2022 Ride the Rails Accessibility Tour.

Grand Forks ATV partnered with Dueling Oaks Restaurant, located in Christina Lake BC, to supply a great outdoor experience to 37 Seniors or Mobility Challenged folks. The Ride the Rails Accessibility Tour was a lunch, historic presentation and a two-hour ride on the Rail Trail from Dueling Oaks Restaurant to Cascade West then east to Baker Station. The 37 km trip was a hit for all participants with great vistas, historic locations and a taste of the past. Everyone loved the great food Dueling Oaks Restaurant prepared and the service was terrific, everyone was ready for the first ride departing at 11-30. Sun was present and the rains held off for most of the day. The 12 Side X Sides and 2 quads were driven by GFATV volunteers who graciously donated their machines, time, travel, and gas to supply a professional guided tour for all who participated. Many participants were over 90 years young and where very pleased with the event. Being able to get out and enjoy the beauty, history, outdoors was a dream come true. “We felt young again” “Thank you very much for the great opportunity to see this great area” “This was such great time” “Let do it again” These and many more comments were abounding at the end of each ride. GFATV would like to extend a big thank you to Dueling Oaks Restaurant and their great staff, all the support staff from Silver Kettle Village, and  the many GFATV members who helped make the event a great success.
