Pack it in .. Pack it out !
Sept 21 2016
Grand Forks ATV Club was notified by a Recreation Site user that hunters had disposed of deer parts in the Recreation Site know as 28 Mile Rec Site located 44 km up the Granby Forest Service road.
The hunters had mentioned to the other recreation site users , they were from the Lower Mainland. They had a trailer with a freezer unit. They de boned their harvest and froze their meat.
Everyone at the site was amazed when they left, they dumped the skeletons, hides, legs over the bank at the rec site, a burnt out BBQ and a broken mirror in the fire pit.
Members of GFATV Club cleaned up the debris on Wed Sept 21.
The GFATV Club appreciates all the recreation site users who use the six rec sites in the North Fork and clean up the site as they leave. There are many of these users.
Please do not leave garbage or animal parts near the rec sites. The bones and hide will attract other wildlife and smell. This will have a very negative effect on wildlife and other users.
Thanks to the users that come forward and let the Club know when there is a problem.
The Conservation Officer has been advised of the situation and hopefully find time to visit our area more often.

Really ! this is happing way too much in the forests

Again this is a bad idea..
